Belgian Blue Stone – An Eco-Responsible and Sustainable Choice

At Van Dijck Belgian Stone Company, we believe that a noble material should also respect the planet.
That’s why we work exclusively with Belgian blue stone – a local, natural, and durable product – whose environmental impact is incomparable to imported or industrial alternatives.

A Significantly Lower Carbon Footprint

Did you know that:

Asian-origin blue stone generates an environmental impact up to 16 times higher than Belgian blue stone?
The ceramic industry has an impact 60 times greater than local blue stone production?

Choosing Belgian blue stone means drastically reducing your carbon footprint while supporting local craftsmanship and the circular economy.

Our Eco-Friendly Commitments

We integrate sustainability into every stage of our production:

Natural and local – Quarried and processed in Belgium, without intercontinental transport.

Durable and ecological – Long-lasting, requiring no chemicals or energy-intensive firing.

Recyclable and reusable – The stone retains its full value, even after decades of use.

Timeless and a long-term investment – A material that beautifies over time and increases your property’s value.

Added property value – A premium, aesthetic, and sustainable finish that attracts buyers.

Green energy – Our site runs on solar panels that cover a large share of our energy needs
(1,090 panels producing 320 MWh/year).

Water management – Our closed-loop system reuses water at every stage; we also collect rainwater for our facilities.

Land revalorization – Stone residues (schlam/limestone dust) are offered to farmers; rich in calcium, they naturally improve soil quality.

Environmental commitment – We continuously innovate to cut emissions, valorize waste, and preserve natural resources.

A Natural, Local Stone Oriented Toward the Future

Choosing Van Dijck Belgian Stone Company means choosing Belgian, responsible, and transparent production.
Our goal: combining authenticity, durability, and environmental performance to build a more nature-friendly future.
